Fruit and Nut Energy Bars

Energy bars can be found in many households and are one of our favourite go-to snacks! We have created a delicious, healthy, vegan recipe which combines a wonderful mix of fruit and nuts along with a very special ingredient: our very own YOGI TEA® Green Energy! This simple recipe makes 10 bars so prepare a batch of this delicious mix and enjoy them throughout the week. They are a great treat to have on the go, before or after you exercise or simply with a cup of tea to keep you going throughout the day. We all need a little energy kick from time to time so why not have a go at making this simple recipe for yourself?


Recipe for nut and fruit power bars

Preparation time: 15 minutes. Soaking time: 30 minutes. Cooling time: 20 minutes

Ingredients for 10 bars

  • 200 g dried dates, pitted
  • 2 YOGI TEA® Green Energy tea bags
  • 200 g almonds
  • 100 g cashew nuts
  • 100 g walnuts
  • 10 g pistachios


  • Leave the dates to soften in hot water for 30 minutes. Then drain and leave to dry completely. .
  • Pour 60 ml of boiling water over the YOGI TEA® Green Energy and leave to steep for 10 minutes. Then remove tea bags.
  • Roughly chop 2 tbsp of the nut mix and set aside.
  • In a food processor or blender, purée the remaining nuts together with the softened dates and tea to a medium-fine consistency. Mix in the chopped nuts and spread out the mixture into a scare shape approximately 1 cm thick.
  • Set to chill for at least 20 minutes before cutting into bars.
